Updates on PyMentorAI: Curriculum Complete!
Well, it’s been a busy summer.
Last year I was excited to introduce PyMentorAI, an online learning platform to help beginners learn Python programming in the easiest, most fun way possible.
There is zero setup involved. There is an in-built, clear curriculum. There are countless practice exercises to help learn by doing, with immediate feedback and suggestions for improvement. There’s an iconic personal AI tutor holding your hand throughout the entire process.
The web app was functional and live as of the time of that announcement, even though the course wasn’t fully complete and there was room for some technical improvement.
I’m excited to say that the course has gone through several rounds of re-haul and is now so much better than it used to be. Here are just some of the changes I made this summer:
- The entire curriculum is now complete, with 15 detailed lessons, 4 review quizzes, and more than 50 practice exercises.
- Tutor assistance got way better, with expanded context and a stronger ability to answer questions well.
- Any exercise that failed comes with an option to get an immediate hint from the AI tutor before going full-on debug mode.
- Plenty of back-end improvements, resulting in a much faster, sleeker, smoother navigation experience overall.

This is my deepest personal project and I poured a lot of time and love into this. It gives me so much joy to create something that I think is beautiful. I hope it will be as useful to others as I know it would have been for me if I had it from the beginning of my Python journey.
